Megan and Ryan | Wedding Photography | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

In the final days of planning for Megan and Ryan’s wedding day, we crossed our fingers, said a few prayers, and set statues of the Virgin Mary in our east windows hoping for no rain!
Well, part of those prayers were answered. We got about 3 hours of beautiful overcast skies, but by noon, the heavens opened up and a down pour happened for about an hour! Thankfully, it was during mass. We were able to still photograph outside for about another hour and a half after the ceremony before the rain started back up. When I say rain, I mean Hurricane Issac!

Even though we were not able to photograph all the awesome ideas we came up, we still captured some amazing wedding images! Yesterday as I edited down their wedding, I made the comment “Wow! Seriously! Who wouldn’t want it to rain on their wedding day!” “These images are fantastic!” (well, that sounds a bit like I was tooting my own horn, but I should give big credit to the gorgeous bride and groom, crazy wedding party, and second photographer and friend Sherry!)

Megan couldn’t have been any more beautiful! I absolutely L.O.V.E her dress! It fit her perfectly; Ryan was totally ‘wowed’ when she came down the isle! But, Ryan was even more stunned when he got his groom’s gift from Megan earlier that day 😉 I guess he didn’t know Megan was secretly a Victoria Secret Model in her spare time.

Ryan you also looked handsome all dressed up. Although you have a rambunctious group of friends, they certainly made you laugh and I know you wouldn’t trade them in. (Yes, Kyle S. and Nick H., I am talking about you 😉

In all honesty, every part of Megan and Ryan’s day fell right into place and I’m thrilled that I had the opportunity to share in this special day with two very special people!

Congrats again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Gonzalez!
