Houston and Aspen | Children’s Photography | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

It’s always a great feeling to meet and photograph a new family. Houston and Aspen are simply adorable and their mom, Rebecca, has great taste in kids clothing! She also has great style herself! I told her how much I loved her hair cut when they were in :)

Having cute and unique clothes can completely change the entire look and feel of any session. I think many times clients are not sure what to dress their kiddos in and I have to say, you can find so many great ideas on pinterest. If you are not already following us, you can follow me, Anna Venhaus, to see our ideas for family and children’s style.

Neve | 2 months | Children’s Photography | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

How lucky am I that I get to photograph this little one every other month? Neve is just a doll and I enjoy the little bit of time we get to hold her each month!

Matt and Holly Albers | Wedding Photography | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Wow, only 13 days ago, these two wonderful people tied the knot and I can’t tell you how honored I was to be the one to photograph it all!

Matt and I have been friends for nearly 13 years (wow, stating that makes me feel old ;) and I’ve never seen him as happy as when he is with Holly. I know that everyone around them can see the love that these two have for each other.

On the days leading up to their wedding we were all a bit nervous about the weather, but in true Angel form – Holly’s brother Michael, and a few other Angels above pulled through on our prayers and gave them the most beautiful day!

Many people have already seen some of these images on Facebook and some of you have asked, how we got Matt and Holly into a boat and photographed at night? You also want to know, how did we manage to keep them both dry? Well, I’ll fill you in on a secret…. we spent 5 hours on the Wednesday before their wedding setting up and photographing those shots.  Matt wore a blindfold after entering the boat, while Holly’s parents helped hold her dress up and I sat in the boat to help get Holly into position. We then pushed them out into the water and worked our magic.  Yes, magic (and some more prayers) are what was needed to keep these two dry, keep the lanterns lit, and Matt from seeing Holly in her dress before the wedding!

All those extra hours were totally worth it, because of the meaning behind this set. When Matt proposed to Holly, he went to his in-laws house, suited up, went out to the pond, lit some candles, put them on pond, and called Holly’s cell telling her she needed to come out to the pond right away. To her surprise, there was Matt, on one knee, asking for her hand. WOW! what a true romantic!

We love these two more than the images of their wedding day! Congrats Mr and Mrs Albers!

XOXO,  Here to to endless happiness and lots of little head headed kids :)

Maylen | Newborn Photography | St. Louis Newborn Photographer

These little girls have just been making my day over the past week. They are so teeny tiny and sweet as can be, that I might be getting baby fever already….and Myles is only 4 months old! But, don’t worry, I’m really not planning to have another for at least another year :)

Maylen was the perfect little princess, and when I say princess, literally, I mean princess. She had the crown and all! Grandma Kramper is going to love those already!

Breck and Justin are going to love them all, because the images of Maylen in Justin’s cowboy boots are darling!!!

I want to thank Breck and Justin for bringing Maylen in for her newborn portraits. We couldn’t have asked for sweeter people to work with!

The Newberry/Wuebbles Family | Family Photography | St. Louis Family Photographer

Now that all three of Tiffany’s kids have graduated high school, it was time for a family photo. We had a great time getting to work with Aaron, Nicole, and Stephanie again, plus I also got to photograph their dog Max…who by the way is pretty over protective of his momma! He certainly didn’t like when I tried to fix anyone’s hair or even post with the family. He had me cracking up, because I honestly don’t think he’s hurt a fly. Overall, I think Tiffany is going to have a hard time picking out a favorite! Lots and lots of great images to choose from!

Will | 4 year | Children’s Photography | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

Tammy had the cutest outfits for Will’s 4 year session. How sweet does this little guy look? gosh, we’ve had some cute kids in this month! I can’t wait for Tammy to see the rest! They are fantastic…if I do say so myself :)

Alayna | 6 months | Children’s Photography | St. Louis Children’s Photographer

What is it about children’s that makes them so cute? Their gummy smiles? Their porcelain skin? Their bright blue eyes? Yeah, it probably is all of those things and more, but I just love their little personalities!

Alayna had all the looks- smiley, serious, even sad. But darn she looked so cute in every image!

Hadley | Newborn Photography | St. Louis Newborn Photographer

How absolutely stunning is this little peanut? Hadley is simply breathtaking and I’m so happy I had the chance to photograph her newborn portraits.

Mom and dad are also super photogenic and I love that mom had some ideas for the session too.

During the session I found out that Tom and Ashlee are neighbors to one of our favorite families, The Kirsh’s. Funny thing is when Tom walked in, we thought he looked a little like his neighbor Billy, but no relation…

What they do have in common though is beautiful babies! Thanks again for letting me snuggle and love on Miss Hadley!

Alex Lilley | Ofallon High School Senior | Senior Photography | St. Louis Senior Photographer

Alex just graduated and we are thrilled that we could capture her senior portraits for her. Alex definitely had a case of the giggles, which made it easy for us to get a good smile out of her! We get to meet her older brother in a couple weeks for his portraits, since he hasn’t had his senior pics done yet!

We should be seeing Alex and her mom back tomorrow! Hope they love it all as much as we loved meeting them last week :)

The Hatcher Family | Family Photographer | Children’s Photographer | St. Louis Family Photographer

It’s been a little over a year since we last saw the Hatcher Family and they are looking just as fabulous as the last time! Actually, they are even cuter because there is a new addition to the family- Hudson, and he is just adorable! I actually can’t believe how big brother Harper is getting. He still can give a good “Your Fired” look, but we captured so many great smiles that I can’t wait for Charles and Amber to come back to see everything!
